My point is that their bottom 10 picked up 36 stars compared to our bottom 10 picking 17 stars. That difference in stars is one of the reasons we have been loosing the last 6 of 7 wars. Some of the guys are learning from each attack but the rest haven't changed a thing which is so frustrating.
I take your point on the middle base members which is fair but I still maintain we are too light on heavy hitters

Well, i happen to agree with you both. I like having some lower levels to round us out but some of the ones we have are not a good fit. I'm all for teaching, helping lower levels grow but some just dont get it.
Every lower level we add makes it that much easier for our opponents to 3-star on one attack. And like figsy said, gives them more chances at our middle levels.
We have 4-TH6, 8-TH7, 15-TH8, 12-TH9, 1-TH10. Some of those TH8's are close to becoming 9's. Therefore, it would be best to add some TH7's or TH8's. I dont think we should have more then 2 TH6's at any given time.

Heres a fun idea... Lets start a 2nd clan...temporarily we can use it to try out war strategies. Eg Send all high members into one war Send 2 or 3 of each lvl into another See what works

I was in a clan for a little while and they did that Top ten one war and lowers another....It was fun to pop back and forth but no way to keep track of donations.

I just want people to use both attacks. And if you are attacking someone who has beattacked already, watch the replay.

Good point MTK, in the last war we hit #27 multiple times with the same attack. We all need to continue working out a ground attack for when air doesn't seem to cut it.

We lose a lot of stars to dragon attacks. I think it would make a huge difference if all our members (really just th8 and under) prioritised maxing out air defenses and air bombs asap

A simple Softball analogy for everyone: When we play and the game is on the line, so many times a guy will get up to the plate who can on many occasions crush the ball and get a home run. Sometimes though, that guy simply needs to get base hits to score 1 or 2 runs to win the game. Most of the time when guys that can crush the ball get up to hit and swing for the fences they end up popping up to the pitcher and losing the game.
In war if we get 3 stars from 10-30 that's 60 stars. if we get 7-8 stars from the opponents top 10 by attacking our counters that's 67-68 stars in a 30 person war. That wins most of the time.

Perhaps our strategy should be attack our counters on first attack. Then drop down a minimum of 10 places to clean up stars (and maybe 5 places for our top 5).

Had a chat with Dad after the war and got some feedback from him.
The biggest concern was around the high levels not dropping low enough to clean-up what was left behind. But as I look back over the numbers...there was only 2 out of the top 10 that didn't drop low enough and 1 who missed the 2nd attack. So 3 out of 10, not as bad. We can work on that.
This war we left...18 stars in top 10 (14 of which were in the top 5) and 7 stars from 11-25. There were multiple clean-up attempts on the lower bases, they just couldn't pick up that 3rd star. It's still my feeling that we have to keep hitting the higher levels or we will continue to lose.
The lack of attack planning/strategy discussion was brought up as well. This is something we need to work on, for sure. We should be confirming with each other, the bases we are going to attack. Get feedback on attack point, troop count, spells, etc.
And on the topic of attacking opposites, if you think there is just NO WAY to get even 1 star, SPEAK UP! No leader, elder, member will get mad at you if you decide to clean up 2 bases instead of attack a fresh one. It goes back to the point of, we need more chat during war. When we were on our winning streak, we chatted all the time about how best to get the attack done. Just because we've seen our fair share of wars, doesn't mean that this method should change.
We've been at this a while, I'm with ya that it stinks to keep losing. I do feel like we are working some things out, changing attack method and hitting hard bases. But the fundamentals slipping, having fun and being active.
As always, thanks in advance for your feedback.

I feel like we need to establish a war time...something concrete so that we can attack in waves. Lower do their best, then mids, then uppers. If we could get that down I believe it would change everything. We all don't want to go to low so that the lowers don't have anyone to attack, this would solve that....imo
