I think it would be a great help to find the best time to start war. That meaning the time when the most lower level guys can attack. It seems the best strategy is for the bottom to get what they can get then let higher levels to mop up with at least their 2nd attacks. We will be more efficient if we can clean up lower stars instead of worrying about our equal rank. If higher guys can clean up stars in the teens easier than trying to go over their heads.........maybe.lol. seems every wars different

Good idea bolt. It would be great if we could get the whole clan on here to give their 2 cents

Well, what do we think? Next war is up for review - do we apply same strategy to REDBEARDS? Any tweaks, aside from communicating strategy sooner then minutes before the war starts?!

I think what we need to do besides attacking lower to get three stars is to not be so hasty with our attacks. All of the clans that have been beating us come on strong in the final two hours while our strongest or at least most active members are left watching and hoping guys that have not attacked get on within the time limit. I really think we need to hold off at least our second attack until the final hour. I've been guilty of attacking quickly, and then wish I didn't use my second attack when we are losing by one star. maybe we should designate our ten most active players and ask them all to wait with their attacks and let the guys who are more sporadic get on and use theirs.

You are right, the last couple of wars our opponents seem to come on strong in the final hours. Definitely need to find a way to stagger our attacks more. Some have been holding that final attack but not as many as what we've seen from other teams.
I've seen X, Bolt, Vin and MTP hold their attacks - I try to hold mine as well. Perhaps we can ask Ian, Doug, Wolf, TT, Dad, Shawn? As long as it works within their timing - I'd hate to have someone miss because they held off too long!
Thoughts?

I will remain holding my second attack as long as its possible. I think its a good idea for at least the top 15 do this as well as long as its possible to do so without missing attacks. Easier to finish off a lower base when possible for sure stars.

Playing Devil's Advocate here. Another risk we face is guys seeing us falling way behind and deciding not to attack for fear of wasting resources. I've seen a few guys hold back due to the thought that it's a lost cause.

We'll have to be sure to cheer those guys on, remind them why we are holding our attacks. When in doubt, send clan mail!

Alright, 3 back to back losses really stinks. Are we doing something wrong or has it really just been bad luck?!
Strategy idea: I'd like to test out having everyone use their 1st attack to hit the opponent with the same ranking. In order for this to be effective, it will have to be decided war by war. This has come up in chat before and we've watched other clans run their wars this way. Anyone completely opposed to giving this a try?
Adding new players: Watch adding new players, besides being level 65+ be sure to check their donations, war stars, and troop levels.
Any thoughts or suggestions, love to hear your opinions?!

I think its definately has to be a decision made based on enemy. The last 3 wars if our top 15 attacked our opposite we would have very little to show for it. On new members lets drop the level quota and look for donations and war results. Id rather have some new lower guys anyway to help even these wars out. We just have to be careful not to flood the clan all at once

I think more care needs to go into what people look for in their clan castles. I was impressed how the other clan who used dragons would back them up with high level balloons. Some of our players seem to go for archers or hogs which get wiped our straight away...A waste really. Maybe a strategy needs to be done up to get particular types of troops to suit your attack. I know myself and bolt are currently using hogs and our cc will contain more hogs as back up. Also some guys are using the wrong spells for their attacks too. The jump spell to me is pretty useless in war. Also using the lightening spells x3 to wipe out one air defence on large bases are useless because your dragons cannot get through the bases quick enough to destroy the other air defences and at most tend to claim just 1 star. I know it will be hard to get everyone to follow a format but I think we should have a discussions on chat if an attack fails or didn't achieve what it should have.

Something Dad mentioned, see above, we started holding our attacks thinking we'd throw off the other team. Maybe we are doing more damage by sending the wrong message to players. We all know that most don't read the clan mail anyways!! lol
